History
The road to any great accomplishment is long and embraces a journey of challenges fueled with persistency to realize the vision. The legacy of the Wilson County Exposition Center, now known as the Farm Bureau Exposition Center, is a tale of extraordinary vision, dedication, and hard work to bring to life the facility that serves as a cornerstone for the James E. Ward Agricultural grounds. The agricultural grounds legacy also includes the history of being home to the Wilson County Fair since 1979. The Expo Center opened its doors in November 2016 and has been the backdrop of countless events for agricultural, entertainment, festivals, meetings, sports, wedding celebrations, and more.
In August 2020, Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation and Wilson County agreed upon a $225,000 naming rights sponsorship of the Exposition Center. The municipally owned facility was renamed Farm Bureau Exposition Center after a nearly five-year search for sponsorship. The mission of the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, “Working together to build strong agricultural communities,” is infused in the Exposition Center’s message and resonates with the values rooted in the community. Jeff Aiken, Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation’s president, states that the organizations goal is to be a valued partner.” The Farm Bureau Expo embraces the opportunity to work with a staller organization such as the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, said Gayle Hibbert, Expo Marketing and Event Director. The Expo proudly serves as a public resource and economic player with strong roots in Tennessee’s agriculture, education, and community involvement.
We look forward to welcoming our event planners and their guests into our beautiful space here at the Farm Bureau Exposition Center where meeting in middle offers an incredible resource for your event for an experience to be remembered.
